Dear customers, business partners and former partners of Herbst & Karthaus GmbH & Co. KG,

Quality needs roots. At Moog & Langenscheidt GmbH, we look back with pride on a history that began in Kierspe in 1906. Almost at the same time, in 1919, the success story of the company Herbst + Karthaus (Herka) began in Arnsberg. For over a century, both names have stood for reliability and the Westphalian entrepreneurial spirit.

Today, we are bringing these paths together. We are pleased to officially announce that Moog & Langenscheidt has taken over the entire inventory, machinery and all technical documentation of the company Herbst und Karthaus Arnsberg. Following the liquidation of Herka Arnsberg, we have ensured that the full range of expertise and production capabilities are preserved and have found a new home in Kierspe.

Comprehensive range & continuity

By taking over all of Herka’s production equipment, we are able to continue offering the familiar range of products and custom-made items. We offer you access to the entire technical legacy of Herbst + Karthaus.

This includes, amongst other things, key product groups such as:

  • Binding mechanisms & other archiving systems: Proven technology of the highest quality.
  • File Prongs, cover strips & hook cover strips: All variants – now with even more choice.
  • Pendulum plates: Precision parts for your archiving systems.
  • ...as well as the entire remaining portfolio of the former Herka Arnsberg.

Should you have specific products or item numbers from old Herka orders, we can check these against the original documentation in our possession and manufacture them for you.

Moog & Langenscheidt GmbH is your new expert partner. With over 120 years of experience (since 1906), we are continuing Herka’s tradition and quality at our factory in Kierspe. We are available to former customers of Herbst and Karthaus for all technical enquiries.

Can I still purchase the full range (e.g. binding mechanisms, pendulum plates)?

Yes. Having taken over the entire inventory, machinery and technical documentation, we are ideally equipped to continue the familiar product range – from File Prongs and cover strips to specialised hook cover strips. Please contact us directly with your specific enquiry or the old Herka item number.
